Hi, I’m Roxanne

I know you want to thrive personally and do your part to make the world a better, fairer place.

It sounds pretty simple. So why does it feel so hard?

Maybe because it is hard. Your time is limited. The world is complex. You have thought patterns and behaviors you need to learn (and unlearn). Society tells us the way to happiness is to work harder, make more money, buy more stuff, and (of course) do it on your own. So, choosing meaning, connection, and values-alignment can feel like swimming upstream.

I’ve been there

There have been times in my life where I felt I was making a difference but felt terrible personally, and periods where I was in a good place personally but felt I was not contributing beyond myself. Vacillating between these extremes, it was clear something wasn’t working, so I did what lots of us do: I overthought it. I thought, and I thought, and I did nothing. I felt frustrated and stuck… until I discovered coaching.

It didn’t take long for me to realize how helpful it was to get out of my own head and try a different way forward. Soon, I was in coach training myself and more connected to what was important to me than ever before. Through connecting with my values, I was able to move from thought to action.

I can help you do the same and reconnect with your values as a jumping-off point for a life in which you thrive personally and contribute to the collective good.

I want the same thing for you that I want for myself: a joyful and intentional life at the intersection of individual thriving and the collective good.

We’re on the same journey; I’m just a little farther down the road and want to share with you the tools and methods I’ve used for myself and my clients along the way.

I want you to live a life that reflects what’s most important to you, not ten years from now, not next week, but now. You don’t need more money or more time before you start. More than anything, I want you to feel aligned, at peace, and empowered. And once you start living your values, you’ll find it becomes easier and easier to find new ways to honor them in your life.

I know right now what I’m describing may feel far out of reach. The good news is, you don’t have to do it alone.

Schedule some time with me to discuss how I can help you achieve this in your life.

“I feel more motivated in my day-to-day after our sessions on the impact I want to have in my career and outside of work. I Highly recommend Roxanne to help You hold yourself accountable to your values and focus on what is really important to you.”

I Believe:

  • All people should be treated with dignity and respect. Everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, and treated fairly.

  • We have a responsibility to each other and the planet.

  • We have the power to create change in our lives and to positively impact the lives of others.

  • We accomplish more when we’re in community with each other.

  • It’s important to listen, question your assumptions and beliefs, and continue to grow and evolve.

  • We should use our privilege, if we have it, to shift power.

My Professional Experience

  • I spent a decade consulting for and working within organizations, helping them find, keep, and grow amazing people. I’ve had roles across the HR spectrum, working in such varied areas as leadership development, change management & communications, people analytics, operations, talent acquisition, compensation, and diversity, equity, & inclusion.

  • I’ve seen a lot of workplaces. I started my career at Deloitte Consulting and have since worked in public education (at the Oakland Unified School district) in Tech (at Cisco Meraki) and at a boutique consulting firm focused on Total Rewards & Benefits (The Nua Group). That’s not to mention the organizations I’ve worked for as a consultant in industries as varied as Energy, Biotech, Healthcare and Tech.

  • I know what it’s like to manage a team. I’ve been a manager and have trained new managers. New leaders are one of my favorite groups to work with.

  • I try not to take myself too seriously, but I take my work seriously. I completed over 200 training hours to become a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach and I am an ICF Associate Certified Coach. I also hold the SHRM Senior Certified Professional credential. Learning & growth is a value of mine, and I spend a large portion of my time making myself better so that I can better serve you.

Some fun things you might not know about me:

  • I live in San Rafael, CA with my husband, daughter, and our Labradoodle, Oscar.

  • I’m known for trying out new and fun activities, even if I risk looking like a bit of a fool. (One of my favorites was tap dancing!)

  • I like to bring my friends into my shenanigans, whether it’s going to silent films or participating in zoom murder mystery parties.

  • A lifelong doggie-paddler, I learned how to swim as an adult so that I could start participating in sprint triathlons. I was so nervous at my first race that I put my wetsuit on backward!

  • During the pandemic, I became a Humanist Celebrant and officiated my first wedding for two close friends.

  • I believe the only way to cycle is with frequent pastry and gelato stops (see photographic evidence)

  • I’ve always enjoyed magic and the joy and awe it brings out in me and others. My husband even proposed to me with a card trick he learned!
